Description
1)Must be able todesign and analyze Steel Structure elements of buildings and othersteelstructures.
2) Must be able todevelop detailed design calculations for the steel structures allsteel to steel and steel to concrete connections and get approvalfrom contractor client andconsultants.
3)Must be able toreview shop drawings prepared in Tekla and Autocad and manage themodelling and detailingteam.
4)Must be able todo connection design of complex steel structures for buildingswarehouses industrial projects using connection software such asidea statica or RAM/LIMCON or be able to generate own excelspreadhseets for connectiondesign.
5)Can do quantitytake off for steel structures from the Tender/IFC drawingsprovided.
6)Create detailedtechnical drawings and specifications for constructionprojects.
7)Collaborate witharchitects contractors and other professionals to developstructuraldesigns.
8)Conduct sitevisits and inspections to assess existing structures and identifypotentialissues.
9)Performcalculations and simulations to determine the strength andstability ofstructures.
10)Review andapprove design changes and modifications based on projectrequirements.
11)Provide guidanceand support to junior engineers anddrafters.
12)Stay updated onindustry standards codes and regulations related to structuraldesign.
13)Coordinate withproject teams to ensure timely completion of designdeliverables.
14)Communicate andpresent design concepts and proposals to clients andstakeholders.
Requirements
1)Minimum of aBachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a relatedfield.
2)Must be wellversed in STADD PRO/ETABS software for Steel structureDesign.
3)Must be familiarwith American and British Steel DesignCodes.
4)ProfessionalEngineer (P.E.) license ispreferred.
5)At least 5 yearsof experience in structural designengineering.
6)Experienceworking on largescale construction projects is highlydesirable.
7)Strong knowledgeof building codes andregulations.
8)Proficiency instructural design software such as AutoCAD Revit orSAP
9)Excellentproblemsolving and analyticalskills.
10)Effectivecommunication and interpersonalskills.
11)Ability to workcollaboratively in a teamenvironment.
12)Attention todetail and strong organizationalskills.
