AV Placements are recruiting for an experienced Aviation Operations Manager for a role based within Abu Dhabi


Purpose of the position
Manage and support aircraft maintenance


Accountability
The Manager - Operations will be responsible for the following roles:

• _Administrator
• Hangar_

- _Coordinator

• Training_

- _Operative

• Logistics_

- _Engineer

• B1/B2 Licenced_

- _Fitter

• Airframe & Engines_

- _Fitter

• Electrical & Avionics_

- _General support to the good running of the operation_


Responsibilities:

Responsible for safety, environment, quality and delivery of responsible aircraft inputs to agreed schedule.

Working with the General Manager UAE and Leadership team to drive hangar productivity to maximise cost performance within a maintenance environment.

Delivering hangar production tasks to schedule, within Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) targets.

Coordinating maintenance teams delivering heavy maintenance.

Allocating assigned resource to maintain schedule adherence, escalating where resource is not adequate at a hangar level. Expected that resource levels will be managed between inputs at a hangar level before escalation.

Developing and implementing effective MI's at a hangar level to demonstrate QCD (QCD)

Working with the Lead Technician and Senior Leadership team to maximise utilisation of all resource to support the hangar AC teams QCD targets.

Leading role in developing and engaging teams in value adding CI initiatives.

Responsible for husbandry of hangar facility ensuring that all procedural requirements are met (e.g. bay audits).


Tasks:

Main point of Contact with the Customer on daily tasking and technical issues

Managing shifts to ensure required tasks are completed

Liaising with Senior Leadership team on contract performance

General management support to the UAE General Manager

Staff Management (Technical Staff) to ensure all policies are followed, dispute resolution and disciplinary actions are carried out

Allocated staff PDR'S and development needs are met.

Education:

IoSH qualified

Completed Level 3 Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or Equivalent.

EASA B1 or B2 Licence Holder or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance management


Experience:

Aerospace environment

Identification and implementation of process improvements

Experience of delivering projects through the lifecycle but with particular attention to operational delivery


Additional local needs
Ability to drive in the UAE

Regular travel back to the UK for operational requirements


Salary:
AED60, AED65,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Primary (preferred)

Experience:

Operations Management: 5 years (required)


License/Certification:

• EASA B1 & B2 License (required)
• IOSH (required)
