    About the CompanyOur client is a global multinational pharmaceutical organisation with a strong and growing footprint across the Middle East.

    The RoleReporting into senior regional finance leadership, the Head of Tax will own and lead the end-to-end tax agenda for the UAE and relevant regional scope, based in Dubai.

    This includes direct and indirect tax, tax reporting, governance, and proactive risk mitigation.

    You will act as the key tax advisor to the business, partnering closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and commercial leadership to ensure the organisation remains fully compliant while optimising its tax position in line with corporate policy and local regulations.


    Key ResponsibilitiesTax Strategy and Advisory:
    Lead the tax strategy across the UAE and assigned regional markets, providing proactive advisory to business leaders in support of growth and operational decision‑making

    Corporate Tax Compliance:
    Oversee UAE Corporate Tax requirements and filings, ensuring robust governance, timely submissions, and strong audit readiness

    Indirect Tax Management:
    Manage VAT compliance, reporting, and advisory, including complex transactions, cross‑border implications, and evolving regulatory changes

    Transfer Pricing and Intercompany Governance:
    Partner with global tax teams to support transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and documentation requirements where applicable

    Tax Reporting and Controls:
    Ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting in line with internal and external reporting standards, maintaining strong internal controls and governance

    Risk and Audit Management:
    Lead tax risk assessments, manage tax authority interactions, and support audits and queries with clear documentation and structured responses

    Business Partnering:
    Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Medical teams to advise on tax implications for contracts, tenders, pricing, and business models

    Stakeholder Management:
    Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors, ensuring clear guidance and consistent, compliant execution

    Team Leadership:

    Lead and develop the tax function (or manage a matrix structure), driving a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.

    Candidate ProfileWe are seeking a commercially astute tax leader with strong technical depth and experience operating in a regulated, multinational environment.

    The ideal candidate will bring the confidence to advise senior stakeholders, navigate complexity, and establish robust tax governance across the region, based from Dubai.

    RequirementsProven experience in a senior tax role within a multinational organisation, ideally within Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, or similarly regulated industries.
    Strong working knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT, with demonstrated experience implementing or operating governance frameworks in‑market.
    Experience advising on complex business transactions, contracts, and cross‑functional commercial activities.
    Familiarity with transfer pricing principles and intercompany governance in a multinational context.
    Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across Finance, Legal, and the wider business.
    Experience managing tax audits, authority engagements, and external advisors.

    Professional qualification preferred (for example ACA, ACCA, CTA, CPA, or equivalent).Dubai‑based (or open to relocation to Dubai).Why This Role?This is a high‑visibility opportunity to step into a strategic tax leadership role within a global pharmaceutical organisation at a time of significant regulatory change and growth.
