Description

Our client, a leading national bank in the Middle East, committed to maintaining the highest international compliance standards & frameworks, as they continue to expand and evolve, seek a dynamic & experienced Chief Compliance Officer.


The Role:


As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will lead the banks compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and best practices.


Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the institutions reputation for integrity and trust within the industry and across our customer base.


  • Develop, implement and oversee the bank's compliance policies, procedures and strategies aligning them with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead & manage the compliance team, provide guidance, training and support to ensure a culture of compliance throughout the bank.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations and industry trends, assessing their impact on the bank's operations and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with senior management & stakeholders to provide expert advice on compliance matters, fostering a proactive and riskaware culture.
  • Oversea compliance audits, investigations and reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency and timely resolution of compliance issues.

You:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Law, Business Administration or Finance.
  • Masters degree or equivalent is highly desirable or professional qualifications such as CCEP or CRCM.
  • Extensive exposure in a senior executive level compliance role within a leading bank or financial services organisation.
  • Willing to relocate to the Middle East or ideally already had exposure of a role in the region.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance strategies, managing regulatory relationships and leading compliance teams.
  • Indepth knowledge of local & international regulatory frameworks, including AML, KYC and other compliancerelated laws & regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problemsolving skills with the ability to influence & drive change.
