PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

HSE engineer ensures that all occupational health and safety standards are followed and that adherence to environmental laws is maintained in industrial or manufacturing settings. HSE engineers devise safety plans, monitor practices to ensure compliance, write up safety policies and procedures, and respond to emergencies as needed. They also review the impact an industry has on the environment and create plans to minimize or eliminate any impact on a company's surroundings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the EHS Team, Client, and Contractor to examine potential health and safety issues and assist with controls.
  
• Reviewing contractor performance and the Effectiveness of control against applicable laws, regulations, and district requirements.
  
• Developing HSE reports such as site safety inspection report, monthly & weekly statistical report, training report, incident/accident report etc.
  
• Conducting audit to ensure all safety requirements are in place and implemented according to Plan.
  
• Reviewing method statement, HSE Documents and risk assessment for every activity prior to work commencement .
  
• Ability to deliver safety practices to ensure zero injury, zero risk, and zero harm
  
• Assisting the project team in the Risk Management process (i.e. HAZID, Risk Assessment and HAZOP, etc.).
  KEY SKILLS:
  • Membership of internationally recognized Safety Association - NEBOSH
    
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in construction safety working on high rise tower projects
