Description
Follows and maintain policies & procedures for international patient safety goals

  • Assures that the patient bed is ready for the next patient
  • To assist patients on arrival i.e. for clinical assessment/radiology, etc.
  • Assists in collecting and delivering service for the ward/clinic e.g. pharmacy, stores, laboratory, etc.
  • Ensures patient safety and reports any incidents or unsafe practice to the Senior Staff Nurse/Chief Nurse
  • Ensure that the work environment is clean, organized, and safe for patients and coworkers
  • Demonstrates an ability to assist physicians in the clinic
  • To shows initiative to solve day to day problems
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities, tasks, and responsibilities
  • To be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations
  • Assists in transferring (walking) patients to services outside the ward e.g. Radiology etc.
  • Maintains a good working relationship and effective communication both within the department and with other departments for the benefit of the patient
  • Respond to and follow up patients' needs, requests and concerns as appropriate
  • To promote meaningful communication between patient, family, physicians, and employees
  • To identify areas for selfimprovement and seek actions for improvement
  • Participates in own annual appraisal with the Chief Nurse
  • Complies with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the hospital
  • Keeps up to date with current policies and procedures through meetings, communication books, etc.
  • To performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner
  • Attend annual mandatory inservice education programs
  • Adherence to the Infection Control program and able to report any related cases or events.
  • Be involved in any aspects of training that need to be cascaded to the whole team such as moving & handling/infection control
  • Be prepared to extend knowledge and skills by rotation to other areas in consultation with the Head of Nursing
