    Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood Quality Assurance systems and processesAct as Cost Focal Point for specific project scopes as requiredDevelop and maintain Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for specific scopesDevelop project budget in accordance with project estimate and CTR CatalogueManage the project work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget set-up and approvalsDevelop and maintain project cost plans using appropriate software applicationsMonitor and control cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of project lifecycleLiaise with project management, project planning and others as required to ensure accuracy in project cost phasing and forecastingLiaise with procurement, finance and time-capture functions, and third parties as required, to ensure accurate and timely capture of procurement, materials, subcontract and labour manhour costs.

    Ensure costs are allocated accurately in accordance with approved project WBSLiaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, to maintain awareness of project activities and their impact on the project budget, schedule and cost forecastProvide copies of project cost performance reports in accordance with project reporting requirementsProduce and issue updates to project cost forecastsMonitor and report on cost impact of project manpower forecastsCoordinate development and issue of project change orders/variations in accordance with engineering and construction change notificationsAssess and communicate cost and schedule impact of change notificationsMonitor cost impact of achievement/non-achievement of major project milestonesMonitor overall project cost performance and contingency drawdownAttend project/client meetings and present project cost performance status as requiredAssist manage the project cost close-out processDelegate and manage the work of subordinate project controls staff as requiredLiaise with the Planning discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests are properly assessed and included in the schedulesParticipate in cost and estimate risk analysis sessions as requiredAssist with audits to ensure compliance with relevant Wood Planning proceduresProvide guidance and support to subordinate Project Controls staff as requiredQualificationsEngineering, QS or business-related degree preferred although not essential if candidate has relevant proven experienceExperience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teamsMinimum of 15 years' experience in oil and gas facilities projectsCandidate shall have previously held the position of Cost Engineer and ideally shall have worked on at least one major project involving the production and processing of hydrocarbonsPrevious experienced of working in the Middle East would be an advantage, but not essentialAbout Us Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
