PURPOSE OF THEROLE:

Land surveyors use specialequipment to conduct measurements and evaluations of sites forpublic government and private property. The responsibilities ofland surveyors include developing land survey reports andperforming calculations of measurements andevaluations.

DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developingthe land surveying strategies.
• Conducting landsurveys on various properties.
• Reading andinterpreting drawings and topographicmaps.
• Measuring distances and angles of theland surface.
• Using the required land surveyingequipment.
• Drawing the rough sketches of theland.
• Reading the maps and making notes as perthe requirements.
• Reporting the legal landdescription for surveys.
• Calculating themeasurements of the land site.
• Verifying thecalculations and analyzing thedata.
• Maintaining the surveyingequipment.
• Preparing the reports on surveyresults
• Presenting the data toclients.
• Advising on technicalaspects.
• Researching the legal boundaries ofthe site.
• Collaborating with the teammembers.
• Guiding the new employees as and whenrequired.
• Following all the legalprocedures.

KEYSKILLS:

• Bachelorsdegree in Civil Engineering Land Surveying or a similarfield.
• Proven work experience working as a LandSurveyor or a similar position.
• A validsurveyors license is required.
• Proficiency inland surveying software such as SurveCE FieldGenius XPAD Surveyetc.
• Ability to understand and interpretwritten documents.
• Phenomenal understanding andknowledge of GPS and GIS.
• Quick decisionmakingabilities.
• Illustrate good time managementskills.
• Ability to meetdeadlines.
• Good organizational andinterpersonal skills.
• Excellent maths andanalytical skills.
• Outstanding oral and writtencommunication skills.
• Ability to explain theterminologies and findings to the teammembers.
