- Develop and deliver courses tostudents in the specified discipline areas of study, consideringand aiming to achieve the three (3) fundamental universitystandards: Teaching, Research, andServices.
- Evaluate and monitor individualstudent progress and provide feedback to sustain studentsuccess.
- Conduct high-quality research inhis/her own field and publish research outcomes in reputablejournals and conferences.
- Pursuing research inrelevant biomedical sciences and/or pedagogy, organize and manageinstructional resources, course outlines, and communitynetworks.
- Supporting and expanding curriculardevelopment in Pathology in consonance with other basic medicalscience subjects and linking to clinicalsciences.
- Actively seek out methods,procedures, and resources to best achieve courseobjectives.
- Support and participate inaccreditation initiatives.
- Maintainrelationships with students that are conducive tolearning.
- Perform miscellaneous job-relatedduties as assigned.
- Basicmedical degree (MBBS/MD).
- Earned Ph.D. Degreeor a terminal clinical qualification (exit degree) in Pathologyfrom an accredited institution.
- Board-certifiedin general/specialized Pathology and eligible for registration andlicencing as a clinical practitioner in theUAE.
- Displays evidence of ability to teach inone or more of the following areas: Histopathology,Surgical/Anatomical Pathology, or ChemicalPathology.
- Previous experience teaching in anintegrated systems-based curriculum.
- Previousinvolvement in Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Team-Based Learning(TBL) educational processes (i.e., development, tutor-guidepreparation, facilitation, assessment) will be highlydesirable.
- The candidate must be able tocommunicate in English.
