    JobSummary

    Accountable for business developmentselling contract negotiation and managing the sales relationshipwith customers throughout the Middle East. This includesidentifying all available market opportunities in a timely andaccurate manner monitoring sales and administering contracts withincompany policy on liability and risk. Position should also be ableto analyze the current market and company competitive position andrecommend the deployment of the companys asset portfolio in termsof backlog client profile rate of return geographic distributionand type of activity. Target performance is to exceed industryaverages in rig utilization and day rate.

    Experience

    Minimum of five years in asimilar role in a business of similar size and complexity (ideallywith an international drilling contractor). Experience in directsales and/or managing the function is mandatory.

    Education Training Licenses and Certifications

    Bachelors degree from an accredited college or universityin Marketing Business Administration or other core businessdisciplines (or equivalent) required.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Uses market data and analytics to recommend marketingstrategy of company assets and services.
    • Addresses all available market opportunities in a timelyand accurate manner.
    • Delivers sales at orabove the industry average utilization and day rate.
    • Negotiates contracts consistent with company policy onliability and risk.
    • Maintains existingcustomer relationships with a consistent professionalpresence.
    • Works closely with Contracts and BidTeam in bid preparation.
    • Works with Treasuryto qualify customers creditworthiness and likelihood ofpaying.
    • Develops accurate local marketintelligence and communicates to corporate marketing.
    • Accurately reflects the current Business Unit market andcompany position in it: economics competitive position (includingpricing assets services) customer needs.
    • Develops and maintains a broad and rich network ofethical strategic customer relationships at all levels to positionto be considered for all appropriate businessopportunities.
    • Develops and maintains broadand ethical relationships with our competition.
    • Provides input to Corporate Marketing to support /enhance the global marketing model.
    • RecommendsBusiness Unit geographic marketing.
    • Ensurescompletion of projects and tasks as necessary.
    • Travel is estimated at 50% but will vary depending onbusiness needs.
    • Other responsibilities asassigned.
