General and Receivable Accountant
Job Brief:
The General and Accounts Receivable Accountant plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in the accounting records of an organization.
This position involves a combination of general accounting responsibilities and a focus on accounts receivable functions.Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Handling petty cash
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Accounts Receivable:
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing and billing.
- Monitor and track customer payments, ensuring timely and accurate collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Generate and analyse accounts receivable reports to assess the financial health of the organization.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
Credit Management:
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
- Monitor and manage the aging of accounts receivable.
- Communicate effectively with customers to address paymentrelated inquiries.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging and key performance indicators.
- Provide financial information to support decisionmaking processes within the organization.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external audits.
- System and Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting and accounts receivable functions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new accounting systems or enhancements to existing systems.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to accounting and accounts receivable.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in general accounting and accounts receivable roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Accounting: 1 year (required)
Ability to Commute:
- Dubai (preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Dubai: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
