JobSummary:

Asa Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for providingpost-melt technical support to Monroe, NC and Richburg, SCmanufacturing This will include all hot rolling, forging, andsimilar post-melt;

KeyResponsibilities:

• Internal/externaltechnical contact for thermo-mechanical processing operationsprimarily focused on GFM radial
  
• Providetechnical support to Operations for processing material whenobstacles in production
  
• Providetechnical support for outside conversion operations and internalConversion Services as
  
• Developand maintain operational and metallurgical expertise inthermo-mechanical processing of Ni/Fe/Co-base, titanium, andspecialty steel alloys through experimentation, technicalliterature review, best practice exchanges across the company, andattending technical
  
• Providebackup support for Monroe, NC open die press forging
  
• Productline responsibility for Nickel/Specialty Steel alloy reroll
  
• Trackcritical to quality process metrics and identify opportunities toimprove yield, cycle time, and Maintenance and standardization ofhot working operating and mill
  
• Providetechnical support in resolving process-related non-conformances andcustomer
  
• Collaboratewith Operations and Maintenance personnel to develop improvementsto manufacturing processes and standards that enhance safety in theworkplace, equipment performance and product
  
• Plan,execute and manage product/process continuous improvement
  
• Applystatistical data analysis and thermal/deformation modeling tools asrequired to support
  
• Leadand participate in team-based, cross-functional continuousimprovement activities including risk assessments, problem solvingreports, cause/effect diagrams, process audits, and standard
  
• Communicateresults to management, colleagues, and customers in the form ofwritten reports and oral
  
• SupportProduct Engineering and R&D in the development, evaluationand standardization of new products and
  
• Createand implement items, recipes, mill instructions and other qualitysystem
  
• Providetechnical support during customer audits and
  

Requirements

Education

• BSin Materials Science & Engineering or MetallurgicalEngineering with 5 years of industrial work experience(post-graduation)
  
• MSin Materials Science & Engineering or MetallurgicalEngineering with 3 years of industrial work experience(post-graduation)
  
• NoPhD candidatesplease

Required:

• Workexperience related to processing, testing and/or, inspection ofmetal alloys (, Ni/Fe/Co-base super alloys, titanium, steels,and/or other non-ferrous alloys like aluminum forexample)
  

Preferred:

• Workingknowledge of wrought metals processing (, melting, press forging,radial forging, hot rolling, conditioning, heat treatment,)
  
• Anunderstanding and ability to clearly explain metallurgicalprinciples critical to metals processing (, recrystallization,strengthening mechanisms, and microstructure-propertyrelationships)
  
• Applicationof thermal/deformation modeling tools to solve problems andoptimize processes
  
• Six SigmaBlack/Green Belt or relatedcertification
  
• Completed internshipswhile obtainingdegree(s)
