What you will bedoing:

• The air conditioningtechnicians install inspect maintain and repair airconditioner.
• They ventilate equipment andcontrols making sure they operate efficiently andcontinuously.
• They perform regular maintenancework on cooling units.

diagnose electrical and mechanical defects andmalfunctions.

They install replace or repairequipment that has been damaged.

They makeadjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.

They install new airconditioning systems andequipment.

They clean blowers and coils checktensions of belts and motors.

They make plansand designs of new airconditioning systems including theirinstallation and maintenance.

They inspect andmaintain refrigerators and ice machines and chilled water supplysystems.

Your experience andskills include:

• The air conditioningtechnicians should be able to work in places where they are exposedto dust fumes noise toxic materials and high voltageequipment.
• They should also be capable ofworking in confined and hot spaces like roofs crawl ways andattics.
• They may also have to work in adverseweather and may be required to lift heavy objects bend stoop kneelor stand for long stretches of time.
