    Job Purpose: As a trainee you willmanage and ensure a safe efficient cost effective and timelyairport shift operations so that Emirates image reputation andpassenger service levels are maintained and enhanced as per thecriteria set forth by the companys commercial safety and securitypolicies standards and procedures. In liaison with the AirportServices Manager ensure that appropriate action is taken forproviding prompt service to Emirates passengers to maintain andwhere required to restore the goodwill and confidence of passengersfacing various adverse situations (flight disruptions deniedboarding etc.) Ensure that Service Level Agreements OTPs and EKASKPIS are achieved in line with the company standards.

    In this role you will:

    • Analyze the monthlyPerformance and produce monthly performance synopsis to providefeedback to ASM on the overall performance of the station. Thereport/synopsis shall include but not limited to: workload handledby each unit productivity ratio actual performance vs. thebenchmark compliments and complaints ratio budget varianceprocess/service enhancement supervisory staff performance againstset benchmarks. Performs & Champions systembased dataanalysis tools and skills assisting the team to comprehensivelyunderstand the station performance.
    • Investigate and analyze operationaldiscrepancies to propose remedial measures to the ASM andindependently respond to internal and external departments wherethe involvement of ASM is not necessary.
    • Control operations in crisis/emergencysituations. Ensure where possible that there is a minimumdisruption to operations and that issues are dealt with in a timelymanner taking direction from the Airport Services Manager/RegionalManager Airport Services as required. Mobilizes resources and leadsthe Airport team in the event of Flight Disruptions and/orincidents involving Corporate Emergency Response.
    • Investigates all operationaldiscrepancies/systems breakdowns/SLA failures etc. on shift basisand prepares reports and provides recommendations for correctiveaction to Airport Services Manager and Regional Manager AirportServices. Responsible for taking immediate action to rectify theseincluding the deployment of staff and equipment as appropriate.Coaches and counsels staff on areas requiring further improvement.
    • Develop and maintain relationships withinternal/external departments such as DGCA safety security policeimmigration customs etc. to ensure facilitation of PassengerServices operational needs.
    • Responsible forthe control and management of Airport Services employees on a shiftbasis ensuring that all supervisors and staff are regularly madeaware of important operational/policy decisions that these areimplemented and that staff discipline and morale is maintained atacceptable levels. Keeping the ASM updated at all times.Responsible for ensuring an efficient and productive utilization ofstaff and equipment to achieve the required service results in acosteffective manner.
    • Maintain efficientcontingency systems and leads the implementation of effectivefallback measures in the event of a DCS (Departure Control System)disruption in coordination with ASM. This is to ensure that thebusiness continuity is maintained with total compliance with safetyand minimal disruption to service delivery and ontime performanceof flights.
    • Support the ASM in managing theannual budget of revenue expenses and capital expenditure.Recommend to the ASM cost efficient services that best representsvalue for money. Create dynamic measurement and reporting systemsfor purposes of providing periodic reports on the operations.Monitor and report to the ASM the overall performance of all areasin terms of costs revenue productivity quality safety and security.Regularly analyse results with a view to proactively highlightemerging issues to the ASM.
    • As requiredconceive manage and implement short and midterm projects under theguidance of the Airport Services Manager. Using Project Managementprinciples identify weaknesses in the operation and focus workefforts in a structured way on building a more robust airportservicesproduct.

    Qualifications& Experience: To be considered for this role you must meetthe below requirements:

    • Degree /Honours in AviationManagement or similar.
    • Fluent in spoken andwritten English and local language.
    • Ability/Skills: Must be able to work underpressure in an environment which requires a very high degree ofinitiative.
    • Other Information: The job holderis responsible for adhering to the relevant health and safetyrequirements and safe working practices applicable to theiremployment. This role will also involve extended periods of traveloutside UAE.
