- To closely monitor the competitionand ensure that the department has a complete understanding of eachhotel's products.
- Establish goodbusiness and social relationships with the industry and participatein activities related to public relations in order to furtherincrease sales leads for department as well asHotel.
- Monitor revenue and costs of thedepartment and assist in developing strategies to maximize profitsand minimize costs in conjunction with the Director ofRevenue.
- Liaise with Director of RevenueManagement to develop pricing strategies and peak seasonprocedures. Ensure that these are reflected in the monthlyparameters.
- Responsible to handle a designatedmarket for which he/she will have targets to achieve in corporateroom nights. Making sure the Team has the proper tool to achievethe corporate room night'sgoals.
- Solicit, negotiate, and book new andrepeat business through various efforts (blitz, prospect calls,personal sales calls, referrals, site inspection etc.) to maximizerevenues.
- Daily observation and monitoring ofTravel Click to identify opportunities and acquire competitionaccounts.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterlyand annual reports as required.
- Assist withcompilation of competitive intelligenceinformation.
- Identify and target new marketsfor the leisure segment.
- Actively participatein prescribed sales training.
- To ensure maximumemployee satisfaction conduct monthly and annual performancereviews
- Work effectively with all departmentsto ensure 100% guest satisfaction
- Bachelor Degree, Business Schooland/or Hotel School Diploma preferred.
- Minimumfive years' experience / exposure to hotel leisure salesis a plus.
- Minimum three years'experience in a luxury Hotelenvironment.
- Strong leadership, dynamicpersonality, results oriented, excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
- Professional presentationand the ability to close a sale.
- Must be ableto prioritize, organize, be self-efficient and maintain a positiveattitude within a very busyenvironment
- Computer experience at intermediateto advanced level is mandatory (Excel, PowerPoint andWord.
- Proficient in English language (Verbaland written).
