Job Role

The Head of Technical role is responsible for setting, achieving and maintaining technical standards for the company.

As an expert in the field of mechanical and electrical systems, they will understand all contractual, local and relevant international standards to ensure the company teams deliver the technical services safely, efficiently and in a way to maximize operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:


  • Acts as a Client point of escalation for ongoing site maintenance service issues.
  • Manage and maintain technical standards for the business through the technical teams.
  • Comply with all statutory, HSEQ and client policies to create a positive health and safety, quality culture.
  • To champion compliance with all technical related statutory, HSEQ and relevant company and client policies generating a true health and safety culture. Ownership of appropriate SOP's, job descriptions and risk assessments.
  • In conjunction with the Facility Managers highly motivate the technical teams, creating a culture of openness and collaboration in accordance with Company Values that will differentiate our technical excellence in the regional market.
  • Set technical competence standards for all technical roles, assess personnel and allocate positions accordingly.
  • Promotes innovative ways to add value and reduce costs within the CoE and business, particularly by challenging resource levels and the way we work.
  • Own the CoE Technical Budget
  • To indirectly lead the Technical Services in a consistent delivery of operational standards across all business units through the FM operational teams.
  • Develop and the delivery of technical training to support operational requirements.
  • Work with bid teams to support the technical strategy of bids, ensuring a balance of maximising profit whilst minimising risk.
  • Act as a role model for people management processes ensuring they are followed to clarify objectives, actively management performance and develop skills.
  • To manage excellent relationships with clients, our suppliers and other partners
  • To lead, recruit, develop and retain staff to deliver services in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • To set objectives for direct reports and review bimonthly. Ensure same approach and mechanisms for all staff within area of responsibility.
  • To ensure direct reports understand business objectives and customer requirements for Technical services.
