    Job Title: Senior BIM Manager (Project Manager)

    Reports to: CEO

    Job Description Summary

    The Senior BIM Manager (Project Manager) is responsible for planning and executing assigned BIM projects profitably by meeting the allocated time, resources, and budget objectives. He/she manages a pool of technical resources within one or more specialties (structural, architecture, MEP) for the duration of the project and ensures projects' BIM standards comply with the contract terms.

    General Responsibilities

    • Plan and control the scope, quality, resources, milestones and deliverables of the project from the setup phase, to the project closure under the guidance of the Division Head/Division Manager.
    • Implement BIM technologies on large‐scale construction projects to include 4D (scheduling & Manpower) and 5D (cost analysis).
    • Own the planning, execution and delivery of assigned BIM projects.
    • Manage a team of technical resources to execute and deliver BIM projects.
    • Develop and implement BIM Standards, procedures and best practices to meet the project's deadlines and deliverables.
    • Collaborate with the R&D division to design and develop new software tools to optimize workflows and increase projects profitability.

    People Management

    • Provide leadership and direction to assigned project resources (BIM Managers, Senior BIM Engineers/Architects, BIM Engineers/Architects, and Junior BIM Engineers/Architects).
    • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation activities within a given discipline (architecture, structural, MEP).
    • Allocate and manage resources within the assigned project (schedule, roles, and responsibilities).
    • Resolve disputes and performance deficiencies.
    • Recommend development plan for assigned resources (trainings, job rotation, etc.)
    • Promote the company's values and reward employees demonstrating supportive behaviours.

    Business Development

    • Assist the Division Head in building proposals during new project bids.
    • Perform scope of work analyses, technical assessment, resource estimation, design strategies and identify technology required for new projects.
    • Identify new business opportunities within existing clients (project extension, new requirements, consulting services, etc.).

    Project Management

    • Plan and coordinate project setup, resource allocation, project milestones, and budgets with the Division Head prior to the start of a new project.
    • Monitor the BIM modeling process to meet time, resources, and profitability objectives and perform corrective actions to meet those objectives.
    • May lead clash detection and RFI resolution during the preconstruction efforts.
    • Assist project teams with review/approval of Subcontractor adherence to BIM Guidelines, including model submittal schedule and updates as well as updating of the model(s) to reflect as‐built conditions for submittal of the record set/project close‐out.
    • Meet with project stakeholders to resolve design issues.
    • Escalate to the Division Head any situation that could prevent achieving the project objectives (change in scope of work, miscommunication, coordination issues, resource deficiencies, technical challenges, etc.) Define Quality Assurance procedures and oversee Quality Control activities that will ensure the health of the BIM models.
    • Define and enforce Project Archiving and Document Control procedures.
    • Attend weekly project update meeting with other Division Heads and the Division Manager.
    • Lead weekly project update meetings with allocated resources.
    • Prepare and submit a Weekly Time Sheet for the assigned project
    • Create & manage the project's BIM execution plan and ensure the project team is following the project's standards and procedures.
    • Produce construction documents for one or more disciplines Coach, mentor and supervise the process of virtually constructing a building by production (modeling and documentation tasks).
    • Conducting Clash-detection and conflict resolution. Coaching each discipline on leveraging Clash- detection tools on their own discipline to proactively build and design in a smart fashion.

    Minimum Skills or Requirements

    • A degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
    • Minimum 8 10 years (including supervisory skills) of project experience Project Architect/Engineer, Project Manager, or equivalent
    • Demonstrate experience in required software (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, TEKLA, Microstation, MS Project, Excel, MS Word, etc.).
    • The ability to manage, plan, prioritize, and implement detailed instructions for employees as well as the ability to motivate his/her staff.
    • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential.
    • Support & manage BIM and BIM production operations, required corporate software, and interoffice collaboration on these platforms together with IT staff, office staff, and project staff.
