Overview

The Opportunity:

Join our dynamic Data Platform & Analytics team as a Data Engineer. You'll be building the foundational components of Presight AI platform, such as: Data catalog, ingestion, batch and streaming transformations, AI/ML enabled enrichment, storage layer and resilient pipelines. You will contribute your experience and real-life best practices into the design and implementation of generic solution that enables clients to unlock the insights from their dataflows. The role also assumes the significant amount of field engineering: working onsite with client business and data analysts, setting up the pipelines and providing the guidelines to client's engineers.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute into the development of our in-house build DataOps and MlOps generic components.
• Implement robust batch and streaming data processing and ML pipelines.
• Extend the core with Data Governance, Data Quality and Policy Management best practices.
• Work closely with Solution and Product team on POC projects, providing the data engineering support and guidelines for platform usage.
• Implement/deploy the platform on client site, collaborate with data analysts and infrastructure engineers on achieving the best quality and performance of data processing and analytical results.
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4 - 7 years of programming experience, proficient in SQL and either Python or Java.
• Experience building resilient Data pipelines with Spark, Flink, Beam, Clickhouse, Kafka, Temporal, Airflow or similar.
• Knowledge of best practice in optimizing columnar and distributed data processing system and infrastructure
• Experienced in designing and implementing dimensional modelling
• Good communication skills.
• Practical experience implementing and operating data platforms: data lake, data warehouse, ETL, big data processing (designing and supporting variety/velocity/volume), real time processing architecture for data platforms, scheduling and monitoring.
  
  

Ideal candidate would also have

• Experience building OLAP solutions with Clickhouse and data visualization tools/frameworks
• Java backend development experience, Spring framework
• MlOps experience
• Experience working with Databricks and Snowflake.
• Russian language proficiency
  
  

This role is based in Abu Dhabi with 60% travel requirement ( sometimes on short notice).
