The Role:
Field Development Consultant - Upstream


The Team:

The Upstream Advisory team is based on a centre of excellence concept globally located in traditional oil industry hub locations, we work for energy companies, international contractors/suppliers, and finance customers worldwide.

Our range of services include field development planning, developing exploration and production strategies, acquisitions, divestitures, cost and emission benchmarking, technical and commercial due diligence, market sizing, technology, lift cost benchmarking, market studies across the O&G value chain, E&P regulatory policy, fiscal terms, and country risk.

This role is highly pivotal to achieving long term upstream advisory growth potential in a rapidly evolving energy industry, located in the Middle East providing global outreach.

work on a variety of projects from field development planning, CAPEX, OPEX, GHG emissions benchmarking, project economics, market intelligence, M&A, Technical and Commercial due diligence.


Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

technical delivery of services to time and allocated budget to the highest standard
on a needs basis, support other S&P Global teams such as Singapore, London and American Consulting Teams in virtual delivery
working independently and checking your own work with limited supervision.


What We're Looking For:

As a member of the team, we are looking for role model behavioral competency including:
team player with excellent interpersonal skills, a problem solver and able to collaborate through global networking and focus on accessing support for clients' needs
strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in using structured methods and data analysis to derive market insights and messages.
being able to plan and deliver work on time, on budget to the highest quality standard
fluent in English both written and verbal. Additional languages such as Arabic or Chinese will be an added advantage
We are looking for experience and qualifications in the following areas:
internationally recognized chemical engineering bachelor's degree
requires a minimum of 5+ years process engineering upstream industry experience with an EPC contractor or consultancy environment working as a process engineer is essential, with preferable I Chem E chartered professional status
highly desirable to have experience in the Middle East / Asia
experience in process simulation, equipment sizing and process configuration in oil/gas and LNG processing
field development and/or production operations optimization project experience and being able to bring the domain expertise into the strategic value adding work we perform
cost estimating experience in front end consultancy or similar with capability in IHSM Que$tor cost estimating software being beneficial; however, training can be provided
