What youll bedoing

TheAssistant Manager Distribution Centre will be responsible forensuring efficient accurate and timely warehouse operations. Theseoperations include receiving storage order picking shippinginventory management and warehouse facility (space) management. Thewarehouse supervisor must lead a team in a very busy environmentmust have excellent organizational skills attention to details andable to multi task.

KeyResponsibilities

• Tosupervise the warehouse team for timely and efficient completion ofdaytoday activities such as Goods Inward Order preparation DispatchProduct manipulation and Housekeeping.
• Evaluate daily workload Plan and allocate work force tocomplete daily objectives.
• Supervision ofproduct put away strategies in WMS
• Supervisionof product pack keys in WMS
• Plan Organize andreview daily tasks of shift Team leaders.
• Ensure that the shift reports are completely filled andinformation passed to the next shift.
• Ensurecustomer requirements are satisfied.
• Maintaina high level of accuracy on stocks and ensure damages are kept tothe minimum.
• Ensure that the workingenvironment is pleasant and cooperative.
• Proper and effective communication of information fromthe management to the shop floor and viceversa.
• To motivate and lead the team to ensure logisticsobjectives are achieved.
• Conduct Team briefingon the Job coaching & performance feedback tostaff
• Plan with warehouse manager the staffannual leave.
• Identify and recommend stafftraining requirements
• Ensure resources likestorage space manpower and equipment are efficientlyutilized.
• Ensure Machinery equipmentconsumables and other resources and properly planned used and wellmaintained.
• Quality Health & Safetyand Environment
• Strictly follow standardprocesses procedures and work instructions. Also promote adherenceto procedures by your staff.
• Close analysispromotion and identification of areas for improvement withincompanys Quality Management System per ISO 9001standards
• Report all incidents of any natureand however caused to their immediate superior completing allnecessary documentation promptly and accurately.
• Ensure that workplace health safety & environmentrequirements as per ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 are met and takeresponsibility for the security of the building andstock.
• To maintain a high quality imagethroughout the operation at all times.

What youll need to succeed

University degree in Business Administration orequivalent
Minimum 5 years experience in DistributionCentre Operations
