- Prepare detailed drawings ofstructural features of road, infrastructure or drawings andtopographical relief maps used in civil engineering projects, suchas highways, bridges, and public works. Use knowledge of buildingmaterials, engineering practices, and mathematics to completedrawings.
- Produce drawings, usingcomputer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) or drafting machines, orby hand, using compasses, dividers, protractors, triangles, andother drafting devices.
- Draft plans anddetailed drawings for structures, installations, and constructionprojects, such as highways, sewage disposal systems, and dikes,working from sketches or notes.
- Coordinatestructural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine amethod of presentation to graphically represent buildingplans.
