- Adheres to sales forecast andstrategic plan to ensure optimization and profitability of theBusiness Unit
- Provides sales forecasts andensures that the brand/category function is informed for requiredactions
- Manages sales operations, regularlymonitors day-to-day operations, including checks on prospectiveclients, negotiations and the design of competitive salespackages
- Visits customer frequently to takeorders, confirm delivery details and stocklevels
- Records progress of enquiries andcreates regular reports, including source of business trends,enquiry conversion rates, future predicted sales and other reportsas directed by the sales manager
- Promotes thebusiness to new and existing clients and secures new and repeatbusiness by networking at various sales and corporateevents
- Advises customers on forthcoming productdevelopments and discusses specialpromotions
- Develops a database of qualifiedleads through referrals, email, and networking; identifies anddevelop new customer accounts to increasesales
- Prepares documents related to sale andsupports contracting activities like purchase agreements,contracts, etc. in coordination with the Legaldepartment
- Maintains all related documents thatensures compliance with regulatory and organizationalstandards
- Provides customers withclarifications, answers query, provides requested information andfollows-up with customers
- Provides accurate andtimely forecasting on a periodic basis, and discussesinefficiencies related to the performance of the sales; preparessales reports and summaries on a frequentbasis
- Evaluates customer and is responsible forapplicable background checks to ensure customer falls within theBusiness Unit's guidelines
- Ensuresall logistics related to sales orders and delivery are inplace
- Ensures timely collection of receivablesfrom clients
- Performs other responsibilitiesand tasks as and when required bymanagement.
