    Description

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    Based at our Corporate Office in Dubai, the Operations Excellence & Special Projects Manager is responsible to lead offshore operational and technological advancement of the fleet and ensure operational excellence. Provide operational support for all the offshore Vessels and ensure fleet is maintained and operated in a safe, reliable and cost-effective manner. Ensure supervision of special projects.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Leadership

    • Provide leadership and support to the operations team across the Group to enable them to provide a high level of service in order to meet the Company targets.

    Structure

    • Review and ensure adequacy and consistency of operational structure within and across offshore business units

    Operations Strategy

    • Develop, communicate and ensure the implementation of operations strategy including class, machinery & equipment, dry-docking, planned maintenance and technological advancement of the fleet in line with the Company strategic plan that will stimulate continuous improvement of all operational activities throughout the Group

    Procurement Strategy

    • Formulate strategy for all Group purchases including local and international purchases and lead the development of framework agreements with suppliers.

    Project Management

    • Formulate accurate project plans for dry-docks, new builds and any major vessel conversions/acquisition to ensure the projects are delivered in a timely manner and according to Company quality, safety and financial policies and requirements.

    Technical Support

    • Ensure the common understanding and use of the best operational and technical systems and practices and reporting throughout the Group in order to maximize the fleet utilization.

    Dry-docking and Planned Maintenance

    • Lead the planning and execution of all dry-docks and planned maintenance and ensure the quality of the job and that the vessels are delivered back as planned and in a timely, cost-effective manner and with expected quality.

    Budget and Cost review and analysis

    • Ensure budgets are prepared based on solid data and plan
    • Monitor and analyse the cost and apply lessons learned across the fleet.

    Reporting

    • Produce accurate, concise and comprehensive reports in a timely manner to keep the management up-to-date on the operational performance.

    QUALIFICATIION & EXPERIENCE

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Chief Engineer of background, Class I Certificate of Competency or Post Graduate Qualification in Management Discipline
    • Post Graduate

    Minimum Experience:

    • Minimum 10 years' experience in an operational role ashore out of which 5 years to be in a similar position.

    Keyattributes:

    • Good technical and operational knowledge of offshore support vessels
    • Experience in subsea sector is an advantage.
    • Proficiency in market analysis, financial modelling, and risk assessment.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
