- Experienced in mechanical design and an understanding of aerospace design best practices.
- Requires a good working knowledge of information systems, operations, and maintenance.
- Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements.
- Designing, developing, analyzing, and testing new equipment and/or new revisions.
- Develops computer-aided design (CAD) project drawings.
- Works with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure proper allocation of resources.
- Develop and maintain Bill of Material (BOM) lists and maintenance documentation.
- Provide direct support to vendors and suppliers to ensure production schedules are met.
- Works to resolve production anomalies and streamline operations to improve efficiency.
- Establish and maintain a high degree of professional working relationships with customers.
- Ability to read/interpret schematics, system interconnects drawings utilizing Technical Orders.
- Familiar with test equipment such as: Analog/digital multi-meter, O-Scope, network analyzer, protocol analyzer, signal generators, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
- Ensure designs satisfy overall Government customer system and sub-system requirements.
- Provides input to design improvements and/or improve performance and/or reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or 3-7 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
