We're looking for a Head baker - As a Head Baker you are responsible to take care of the bakery section and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities & Implement new procedures to develop the betterment of Dept.

The Head Baker is one of the leadership positions & must have a passion to produce high quality bakery products consistently.

This person demonstrates strong leadership skills. This position will report to the Production Manager.


Job Description & Responsibilities.

  • Receive all production orders from all outlets, review & prepare according to the forecasted production volume.
  • Monitor all duty schedules in the bakery operation
  • Create high quality and creative bakery products to satisfy the customer
  • Plan for manpower according to business demands, allocate Chefs accordingly & assign specific job responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines & ensure compliance by all team members in each and every shift.
  • Monitor, follow up & evaluate employee's performance on the assigned job responsibilities.
  • Provide feedback & develop team members to meet the required standards where necessary & improve on their skills & experience.
  • Review any excess wastage or abnormalities in ordering patterns & bring to the attention of Production Manager
  • Propose to develop new products, update recipes & maintain as required as per the instructions of the management.
  • Conduct regular briefing and training, and ensure that employees are regularly updated with required communications.
  • Research into smarter, cost efficient practices to improve P&L goals set by the management.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Stores & vendors to get optimum prices & highquality products at all times.
  • Visit all outlets periodically to ensure that the food quality, freshness and consistency at our outlets are maintained & report any deviations observed.
  • Maintain all recipes & ensure that all employees follow the standards set & maintain consistency at all times.
  • Minimizes waste and inefficiencies to meet goals.
  • Provide team members with safety guidelines & ensure that the team is provided with a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with Hygiene Officer to ensure that the entire Bakery operation is in compliance with the HACCP & food safety guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain an effective employee relations and interdepartmental working relationship.
  • Conduct such functions if required as employee orientation, performance appraisal, coaching and counseling, to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity.
  • Develop formal training plans and conducts on the job training sessions for bakery employees.
  • Handle & resolve any employee conflicts, misconducts & report to the immediate superior & to the HR department where necessary.
  • Participate in establishing the month end inventory in the bakery.

Requirements:


  • Knowledge & experience in handling a team of bakers.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Retail bakery in leadership position.
  • Should possess strong leadership skills and problemsolving ability
  • Good Communication skills
  • Must have good culinary skills
  • Knowledge & experience working on food safety management system

Salary:
AED8, AED10,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
