Job OverviewJensen Hughes has a newly created position for an experienced Sr. Fire Engineer/ Consultant in our Dubai, UAE location.

We are looking for highly motivated, experienced individuals with strong analytical and creative thinking skills to manage hospitality projects workload in the region.

This is a Client facing role and therefore a solid Technical understanding along with excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.

We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety and fire protection in projects for hospitality clients worldwide.

Qualified candidates will have experience and passion in Code Consulting, Performance Based Design, and/or Fire Protection System Design.
Responsibilities

Manage Projects and manage and coordinate technical workload of hospitality projectsWilling to travel extensively (over 50%), mainly in the Middle East and Africa regions to support hospitality meetings, workshops, and inspectionsAttend Client meetings and Design meetingsPrepare and present Technical Reports and presentationsLead and carry out Design reviewsParticipate in various levels of Business Development, including meetings and presentations with Clients and developing proposals

Requirements and Qualifications

Technical Degree in Fire Engineering and related experience in Code consulting, design of fire suppression and alarm systems, and developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment is required.5 years of experience in Fire engineering highly desirableChartered Engineer or PE highly desirableExcellent report writing and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills including speaking and writing in English.

Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies, speak in public, negotiate, explain fire protection concepts, and enforce standards while strengthening relationships, occasionally under pressureCan work independently and as part of a team, enjoy professional challenges and wants to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.

Experience in the Middle East market is highly desirableStrong Project Management capabilities and understanding of Project Financial management
