    Description

    The Senior Cloud Engineer plays a crucial role in improving Coinstar's cloud capabilities. This role will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to evaluate new cloud-native capabilities and help strengthen/grow Coinstar's reference architecture, work alongside Infrastructure, Information Security, and Application Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, and be a catalyst to Coinstar's evolving CICD processes and tools. Operating within a DevSecOps framework, this role encompasses responsibilities in base cloud infrastructure, cyber protection, and automation engineering to advance Coinstar's growing cloud presence.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Expand and mature Azure resources in Application Landing Zones, Data Management Landing Zones, and Data Landing Zones using industry standards.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks for Azure resources using Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, Azure Sentinel, and other tools.
  • Automate and optimize the deployment, configuration, testing, and monitoring of Azure resources with tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM templates, and Terraform.
  • Optimize Azure production and non-production environments, subscriptions, and services for administration and cost purposes.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Azure resources, performance, availability, security, and connectivity using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and other tools.
  • Partner with Software Engineering teams to design web, mobile, and middleware solutions using services such as function and logic apps, event hub, event grid, service bus, API gateway, API management, key vault, etc.
  • Operate in a DevSecOps structured role including focus on identity access management across users, applications, and services.
  • Perform select engineering operations in our on-premise and "legacy" AWS environments as a means to inform and further our cloud migration.
  • Leverage relationships with 3rd parties both strategically and tactically to accomplish departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with other Architects, Engineers, and Leaders to deliver improvements and new capabilities with efficiency and quality using reference architectures, proof of concepts, and solution designs.
  • Stay ahead of Azure service offerings, cloud-native and cloud security trends, and applicable new technologies to provide innovative and modern solutions aligned to industry standards.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations.
  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study or a related field
  • 7+ years of network, compute, and/or storage engineering experience
  • 5+ years of Azure cloud engineering experience
  • 3+ years experience with infrastructure as code, CICD, and DevOps tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, etc.
  • Certifications in Azure-related roles is a plus (Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, etc.)
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels in the organization.
  • Strong organizational and efficiency skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor other team members.
  • Solid understanding of Azure subscription architecture, Azure cost management, and cost optimization.
  • Business Travel

  • This position requires no critical business travel. Occasional travel for specific purposes may occur.
  • Pay and Benefits

    For this role, the typical starting salary range is $120,000 - $163,000. For Washington State or jurisdictions that require the publication of the full pay scale or range information, the entire range for this position is $115,121 - $194,856. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allow us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location. Short-Term and Long-Term bonus incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.

    Physical Requirements
