    Description
    • The Geologist shall conductresearch, interpret geological / geophysical data, constructgeological models, evaluate existing/ potential oil fields andsupport well-site in order to facilitate efficient oil fieldexploitations.
    • Organise / undertake fieldinvestigations including subsurface mapping, logging, sampling,field testing etc, seismic/well data as per company'sprocedures in order to identify and prepare maps / diagramsdepicting stratigraphic correlation / structural analysis for theoil fields to estimate oil reserves in proven or prospective fieldsand facilitate increase in productivity of existing oil fieldswhilst supporting exploitation of unexploredareas.
    • Develop/update geological models as perthe findings from well/seismic data analyses in order to identify/recommend locations for best reserve recovery/new welldrilling
    • Prepare logging program (wirelinelogging and mudlogging), explain the details of operations to theService Companies, and supervise the operations at the well-site inorder to ensure accurate logging is carried out as per setHSE/Quality standards.
    • Ensure accurate updatingof the system ("Petrel") with all data/analysesin order to support ongoing fieldstudies.
    • Prepare periodical and progressreports to keep management informed about the progress of variousinitiatives and to facilitate decisionmaking
    • Ensure timely logging of all relatedactivities as per set standards in order to facilitate availabilityof historical data for future referencing purposes.

    Requirements·Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or similar.Good knowledge of petroleum, geology of Abu Dhabi

    • In-Depth Knowledge on software suchas "Petrel" and "IP" andexperience in 3D Geological Modelling.
    • 12+years' experience as geologist in oil & gasindustry
    • Experience of carbonate(Limestone andDolomite) reservoirs.
    • Experience of projects inAbu Dhabi
    • Fluent English in speaking and reportwriting is required.
    • Strong knowledge ofgeological basics needed for evaluations and volumetricestimations.
    • Knowledge of drilling and otheroil field operations.
    • Basic knowledge andexperience of petrel, and industry standard geosteering softwaresuch as Winlog and Starsteer are required. Geosteering experienceand work experience in the Gulf area, offshore fields and sour gasfield are plus.
    • Working Hours Abu Dhabi: 07:00to 15:00 (5 days a week) Offshore: 06:30 to 18:30 (1 hour lunchbreak, 7-days a week)
