    Description

    Job Description As a Senior Auditor you will be a key member of the internal audit team responsible for evaluating and assessing an organization's financial, operational, and compliance processes.

    This role involves leading and conducting comprehensive audit reviews, identifying risks, and making recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's internal controls and operations.

    The Senior Auditor plays a critical role in promoting transparency, integrity, and sound financial practices within the organization.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute risk-based audit plans, including identifying areas for review, setting objectives, and defining audit scopes.
    • Lead and conduct audits independently or as part of a team, following established audit methodologies. Gather and analyze relevant data, review financial records, and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
    • Identify potential risks and control weaknesses, evaluate their impact on the organization, and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and adjust audit plans accordingly.
    • Review financial statements, accounting records, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Prepare clear and concise audit findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Present audit results to management and other stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement.
    • Track the implementation of audit recommendations and conduct post-audit reviews to assess the effectiveness of remedial actions.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior auditors, review their work, and assist in their professional development.
    • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging risks, and changes in accounting and auditing standards. Recommend improvements to audit methodologies and practices. Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIA) is highly desirable.
    • Proven experience as an Auditor, preferably with experience as a Senior Auditor or Audit Supervisor.
    • Strong knowledge of auditing principles, practices, and standards.
    • Familiarity with UAE financial regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of audit tools and software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Integrity and objectivity in performing audit activities.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic may be advantageous, depending on the organization's requirements
