Description

• Assist the Civil/StructuralEngineer in performing the contractual duties onsite.
• Interface with the public, especiallyresidents and business owners adjacent to the work to mitigate theconstruction impacts.
• Oversee and inspect allcivil & structural work and ensure that installationactivities comply with contractual obligations and quality controlstandards.
• Follow-up with the contractor andsupport in coordinating with the utility authority regardingconnections whenever required.
• Ensures that theproject quality control procedures are used for the constructionsupervision works and monitors it forimprovement.
• Monitors and coordinates allcontractors' activities for thisdiscipline.
• Performs works inspection requestsand material inspection requests on a dailybasis.
• Support the Civil/Structural Engineer inreviewing construction submittals from project inception toclose-out.
• Collaborates with constructionmanagement to eliminate any hazards associated with the work thatmay adversely affect the environment or the safety or health ofemployees.
• Reviews and interprets disciplinedesign drawings and specifications to ensure current re visionlevel and correct technical execution of thework.
• Provides resolution for technicalengineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinatesapplication of solutions to ensure progress onsite.
• Monitors material procurement anddeliveries to ensure timeliness in support of constructionactivities and schedule within the assigneddiscipline.
• Ensures that materials receivedmeet specifications and established standards ofquality.
• Organizes the accumulation of assigneddiscipline data for the final project turnover andreport.
• Initiates and maintains records, backcharge procedures, progress reports, etc., asrequired.
• Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may beappropriate.
