A leading and environmentally conscious coatings manufacturer based in the UAE, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Vice President (VP) of Coatings Sustainability to drive our commitment to sustainable practices and lead our efforts in becoming a more eco-friendly and socially responsible organization.

Vice President - Coatings Sustainability Responsibilities:

• Sustainability Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the company's values, goals, and industry best practices.
• Environmental Compliance: Ensure the company's operations, products, and processes comply with all relevant environmental regulations and standards, promoting a culture of environmental stewardship.
• Sustainable Product Development: Collaborate with R&D and product teams to drive the development of ecofriendly coatings products and solutions, reducing environmental impact without compromising performance.
• Resource Management: Implement initiatives to optimize resource consumption, including raw materials, energy, and water, to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners, to foster sustainability initiatives and build strategic alliances.
• Reporting and Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to monitor and communicate progress on sustainability goals to senior management and stakeholders.
• Compliance and Certifications: Oversee efforts to obtain and maintain relevant sustainability certifications and labels for our coatings products.
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Lead CSR programs that positively impact local communities, promoting social welfare and ethical business practices.
• Industry Leadership: Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in sustainability within the coatings industry, actively participating in relevant conferences and forums.

Vice President - Coatings Sustainability Requirements:

• Education: A degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (MBA or Ph.

D.) in sustainability management is highly desirable.

• Experience: Proven track record of at least 10 years in leading sustainability initiatives within the coatings industry or a related field, with a significant portion in a managerial or leadership role.
• Sustainability Expertise: Deep understanding of sustainability principles, practices, and frameworks, with a focus on sustainability in the coatings sector.
• Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and create sustainable solutions in coatings product development and manufacturing.
• Strategic Vision: Ability to develop a clear and compelling sustainability vision for the company and align it with broader business strategies.
• Collaboration: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and diverse stakeholders.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of local and international environmental regulations and sustainability standards relevant to the coatings industry.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a passion for inspiring and motivating teams towards achieving sustainability goals.
