Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Store In-charge.In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our company's inventory and materials management, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and supporting our operations to meet customer demands effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daytoday operations of the company's storeroom and inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and transactions using manual or computerized systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, negotiate pricing and terms, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock accuracy, identify discrepancies, and reconcile variances.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points, anticipate demand, and initiate procurement activities to replenish inventory as needed, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials, including hazardous or sensitive items, in compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Supervise and train storekeepers and other personnel involved in inventory management, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, operations, and finance, to coordinate material requirements and support project schedules and deadlines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in inventory management or related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing demands in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles, supply chain management, and warehouse safety regulations.
- Detailoriented and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify and resolve issues, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and teamwork, with a focus on delivering quality service and support.
