Description

The Finance and Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.

• Manage the daytoday financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance and trends.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of financial transactions, including bank reconciliations and credit card transactions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with management to develop realistic financial plans and monitor budgetary performance.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with external auditors and facilitate the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to financial regulations and policies.
• Conduct financial analysis and evaluation of business opportunities, providing recommendations on costsaving measures and revenue enhancement strategies.
• Assist in contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
• Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Support other departments with financial insights and analysis to aid decisionmaking processes.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience of at least 13 years in finance and accounting roles, preferably within the travel/tourism industry or related sectors.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations.
