    Description

    The Job

    You will be responsible for :

    • Ensures adequate PPE are available at the factory and project sites.
    • Conducts regular inspections to ensure that all employees use PPE during working hours.
    • Conducts regular TOOL BOX meetings to create a safety culture among the workforce.
    • Maintains the records related to tool box meetings and all data related to safety.
    • Takes necessary steps to protect the health of all employees by ensuring proper sanitation, ventilation and air change (min 14 times in a day) at work spot.
    • Conducts MOCK DRILL once three months and trains the employees to handle emergencies.
    • Ensures proper storage and handling any materials whose spillage can contaminate the earth.
    • Ensures the noise and air pollution are controlled.
    • Takes necessary steps to keep all firefighting equipment up to date and ready to handle any emergency.
    • Inspects and ensures that all lifting accessories, listing equipment, cables, wiring in the premises etc remain fit for use.
    • Follows up on the corrective and preventive actions to be taken and ensures that all the non- conformances are resolved in time.
    • Prepares the charts / data of the key performance indicators in co-ordination with other departments for discussion in the Management review meeting.
    • Recommends any modifications / changes required in business process in order to improve the Health / Safety / Environment / Quality / performance of the company.
    • Co-ordinates with the concerned dept to ensure HSE requirements are met at all times.
    • Any other responsibility entrusted from time to time by the management.

    Work Environment: Exposure to heat, dust and noise from time to time.

    The Profile

    • Graduate / Diploma in Engineering / Technology from a recognized institution. Non- destructive examination ANST Level II certification, AWS or CSWIP Welding inspector certification is preferred.
    • 3 years in manufacturing environment. Should have exposure to ISO 9000 and Quality Control tools. Must be a computer literate with ability to apply statistical techniques in trouble shooting day-to-day operational problems.
    • You have working knowledge of ANST Level II
