- Adhere to the safe administrationof medication policy within the facility, administering prescribedmedications, including narcotics as per scope ofpractice
- Monitors the condition of patient andreports any changes to appropriatepersonnel
- Demonstrates sensitivity topatients' comfort and privacy and expresses interest intheir progress
- Utilizes and ensures maintenanceof equipment and instruments, reporting any damages, equipmentmalfunctioning to the Bio – Medical department and nursein charge immediately
- Participates in nursingcontinuous quality improvement initiatives, in service educationprogrammes, unit meetings and committee functions as assigned bynurse in charge
- Initiates emergency, safetypractices and fire safety measures asnecessary
- Reports all incidents through agreedchannels and chain of command, ensuring Incident report iscompleted, submitted to nurse in charge and any immediate actionrequired taken
- Maintains unitstock/consumables, crash cart stock, in accordance with facilitypolicy on medication expiry dates and safe location of consumableitems
- Maintains and adheres to patientconfidentiality at all times
- Responsible forattendance to yearly mandatory training as scheduled on mandatorytraining calendar
- Responsible for professionalclinical practice and is actively involved in updating knowledgethrough educational activities
- Performs otherjob-related duties as assigned (within scope ofpractice)
