Ukrainian/Russian/Polish CAT II Linguist - ras al khaymah - Valiant Integrated Services

Description

Valiant is seeking skilled Linguists to provide translation and interpretation services in support of ongoing and new operations and mission requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Provide comprehensive language services, including written translation, on‑site interpretation, and remote interpretation, covering both consecutive and simultaneous modes from Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish to English and vice‑versa.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of English source text nuances and be able to effectively adapt the content for a Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish‑speaking audience.

Consecutive interpretation for small group discussions, one‑on‑one meetings, briefings, classroom or field training sessions.
Simultaneous interpretation for large‑scale lectures, conferences, and training sessions.
Render accurately and idiomatically translation and interpretation without omissions, additions, or embellishments.

Due to requirements and volatility of the mission, the Interpreter must be willing to relocate to different locations in their (when/if required) upon Customer request.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar environment as a linguist.
Hold a Secret security clearance.
Must have as a minimum TOEIC 850+ English language proficiency level.
Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish language certificate equivalent to CEFR C1 or native speaker.

The linguist shall be mentally and physically fit for duty and endure the rigours of active conflict zones; linguists shall be equipped for performing services in rough terrain training areas and remain outdoors for extended periods of time.

Must be professionally trained and demonstrate complete fluency in both the source and target languages.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to support night‑time training under any weather conditions.

Employees shall utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices associated with lifting and material handling tasks that are assigned to this job description.

Must be able to stand, stoop, crawl, and climb as necessary to perform job functions using proper techniques and equipment for extended periods unassisted.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Linguists must be able to follow their assigned groups on distances exceeding 5 Km, stand for extended periods while working outside in rough terrain, and endure scenarios under any weather conditions.

Due to requirements and volatility of the mission, the Linguist must be able to relocate to a different location within their assigned area.
