The Contracts Manager will support the Surface Technologies Middle East, Southen Europe & Africa (MESEA) geomarket and the primary responsibilities shall be:

  • Leading the review, negotiation, and administration of all contracts with existing and potential TechnipFMC customers in order to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and TechnipFMC. Policies and Standards, taking a leadership role in communicating and negotiating agreements with clients and having the ability to effectively lead a negotiation with no supervision; and
  • Manage, coordinate and followup all corporate, contractual and legal related matters in relation to the MESEA region, including but not limited to agreements with local agents, distributors, local partners, etc. which may be required by local law and/or from a strategic point of view, and entity and facilities compliance with the applicable local law. The Contracts Manager will be supported in this task as required by TechnipFMC Legal Operations and Corporate Legal departments.

Key Responsibility:


  • Reviewing, drafting, negotiating and managing of customer revenue contracts within the scope of the Surface Technologies, in compliance with the Bid-ItStandard (GPS-COR15001, latest revision) as well as all TechnipFMC's Policies and Standards.
  • Support the Tender, Proposal and the Sales group in the contractual activities associated with client's tender requirements including all associated subcontract requirements from receipt of tender enquiry to contract award. Support the Project group on contractual matters during the contract execution phase when so required. Support the Surface Technologies management team in the identification and assessment of all identified contractual risks, and when applicable, prepare and distribute Deviation Approval Forms in order to obtain the appropriate written approvals for any deviations from the TechnipFMC Bid-It Standard.
  • Review, draft, negotiate and manage both legal and commercial terms and conditions. Negotiate and prepare revenue agreements with new and existing customers to govern supply of equipment, supply of services, and specific scopes of work.
  • Provide timely and informed support to key internal stakeholders of all levels, including Sales, Legal, Finance, Commercial & Tender, and Projects.

This includes, but it is not limited to:

  • Provision of thorough risk evaluation for management's consideration.
  • Customer oriented Legal & Contractual support, especially as to form of agreement, special terms and conditions, financial securities, insurance requirements, negotiation and deviation approval; and
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure implementation of company initiatives, Compliance or public policy requirements.
  • If applicable, negotiate and review local agent agreement by working closely with other related department i.e., Compliance Team.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law.
  • 8 to 12 years' experience in legal and commercial/contracts' review matters, in relation to oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Middle East, preferably UAE in the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of contractual terms and conditions with the ability to identify and mitigate contractual risk.
  • Excellent ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive enquires. Understanding and communication within diverse cultural environments is critical.
