- Devising ways to improve themanufacturing process to ensure higher-qualitygoods.
- Devising, improving, and reviewing newspecifications and procedures for products or processes, andtraining staff to use them.
- Setting therequirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring theircompliance.
- Supervising inspectors,technicians, and other staff members and providingguidance.
- Ensuring legal obligations arefollowed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and withhealth and safety guidelines.
- Overseeingproduct development procedures to identify any deviations fromquality standards.
- Inspecting the final output,comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting thefinal products.
- Keeping accurate documentationand performing statisticalanalysis.
