Manager, Public Sector EEMEA SME Strategic Initiatives

The Manager, Public Sector EEMEA SME Strategic Initiatives role is responsible for supporting the Public Sector EEMEA team for the development of key business development projects in the Public Sector SME segment and associated organizations Financial Inclusion, Mobility and Government Sales.

This is a regional EEMEA role and dedicated to Government Engagement in all applicable markets.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pursue regional business development initiatives in alignment with Mastercard's country strategies as well as regional and global priorities for the SME segment.
  • Be familiar of how data, digital and cashless payments can solve issues in the areas of financial inclusion, citizen services, public transit, economic development and government operational excellence pertaining to the SME segment
  • Support public sector strategic projects to align to market demand and strategic goals for the SME segment.
Role

  • Develop Government Engagement (now known as Public Sector) EEMEA SME Strategy and Growth plans, Competitor & Market Intelligence and Identification of new business opportunities and tactics to extend market position.
  • Lead projects or workstreams related to PS SME growth, develop presentations, generate research insights, undertake complex analysis to support recommendations.
  • Support the PS EEMEA team to drive impact, increase collaboration, and address crosscutting topics (e.g., around subsegments, partners, tactical initiatives, GTM relating to SMEs)
  • Assist leadership in identifying key issues, defining problem structures, evaluating options; and formulating underlying action plans to support SME growth in public sector.
  • Collaborate on development of a narrative to drive the positioning for SMEs PS EEMEA and work closely with Marketing / Communications to deliver this narrative.
  • Partner with PS EEMEA market leads, Account Management and Market Development teams to identify new SME business opportunities, articulate PS EEMEA SME positioning, value proposition and represent in new and existing customers.
  • Bring competitor insights to help identify development opportunities to ensure SME needs are met and roadmap is aligned to market.
About You

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field and five ( 5) years of experience in job offered or as Consultant, Business Analyst, Business Development Manager or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and eight ( 8) years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Corporate products and services (SME Card, Acceptance solutions, security solutions, spend management), with significant experience in sales and business development within the SME space and relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Progressive business experience, with a strong track record in the paym
