    Description
    Job Title - Vice President, Operational Risk and Resilence Management (UAE National)
    Reports to - Head of Technology, Operational and Fraud risk

    This senior leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks while ensuring the organization's ability to withstand and recover from unexpected disruptions.

    The role involves overseeing a team of professionals and collaborating with various departments to create a culture of risk awareness and resilience.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational Risk Management:

    • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's operational risk management framework.
    • Overlooking Operational, Risk, Fraud, Data Governance, Information Security, Enterprise Risk and Model Risk.
    • Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks across various business units and functions.
    • Create and maintain risk appetite statements and key risk indicators (KRIs).
    • Collaborate with business units to establish risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
    • Review and validate risk models and stress testing scenarios.

    Risk Reporting:

    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and the board of directors on operational risk and resilience matters.
    • Monitor and report on key risk indicators and incidents.
    • Ensure that risk reports are accurate, timely, and actionable.
    Minimum Qualification


    • A bachelors degree in quantitiave field (computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics) or similiar field.
    • A relevant masters degree is preferred.
    • Relevant professional certifications e.g, CFA, FRM, etc. are preferred.
    Minimum Experience


    • 7+ years of experience in Risk management within the banking, financial services, or consulting industry.
    • 3+ years of leadership experience managing people is preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in change management project lead/execution.
    • Experience in risk technology/systems.
