THE ROLE

Edelman is looking for Associate Director - Corporate Communications to join our Technology team in the region. You will be responsible for managing relations with the client, identifying opportunities to further grow relations and unlock potential growth, while also managing a team to ensure the day-to-day responsibilities are met.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Act as the senior client point of contact, providing trusted senior counsel and accountable for client satisfaction, quality of delivery, corporate reputation, and overall profitability.
• Support private-sector and government clients, contributing to key pitches and senior-level client meetings.
• Build and maintain strong client, media, and external stakeholder relationships at a senior level.
• Guide clients and internal teams to achieve business objectives through strategic and creative ideas that deliver measurable impact.
• Manage global media relations, safeguarding and enhancing corporate reputation.
• Partner with Business and Resource Managers to ensure profitability targets, effective resourcing, and operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of sector landscape to help inform clients of best practice, share recommendations, and protect client interests and reputation.
• Ability to develop accurate commercials and contributed to new business development to grow the Edelman business.
• Lead the development and execution of Client Development Plans, driving business growth and diversification while strengthening team capability through best-practice sharing and skills development.

Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years' experience within a communications/PR agency environment, with a focus on technology clients; Middle East experience is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills, and can work in an agile, lean environment in which we collaborate in real-time with clients and partners.
• Track record developing and executing successful communications strategies and programmes.
• Possess strong leadership qualities and have in-depth experience effectively managing a group and helping employees grow.
• Excellent understanding of the media landscape, and ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple internal stakeholders, including strategic planning and creative.
• Demonstrate ability to lead and convert new business opportunities.
• Experience managing finances, including budget development, management, resourcing and forecasting.
• Team player who is focused on developing a collaborative work ethic within account teams and is committed to ensuring an excellent work environment.
