In this exciting opportunity, your role will be to fully focus on increasing the commercial sourcing and improving the operational performance of Kuehne+Nagel's road logistics trucking companies and customs brokers.

Your Role You increase the truck carrier portfolio and improve service performance and daily operation KPI's.

Your long-term goal in this position is to structure daily operational tasks and to monitor vendor performance.

You set priorities, shape processes, guide people, work with TMS systems and develop a sufficient carrier infrastructure, while building a professional and friendly image to the internal and external customers.

Your Responsibilities Maintain carrier contracts and introduce new carriers and customs brokers to the portfolio, including rate negotiations and onboarding according to our standardsEnsure that our operations and transactions meet all customs regulations, standard operating procedures specific to each clientCommunicate and build relationships with internal and external customers, service providers, border agents and destination branches, liaising with other Kuehne+Nagel stations within the GCC networkEnsure client deadlines as well as internal deadlines and procedures are adhered to, and liaise with suppliers and/or 3rd party to ensure timeous collection of cargoManage all warehousing and trans-shipment operations and/or domestic deliveriesEnsure that supplier invoices are reflecting agreed transport tariffs #LI-KP1Assist to maintain good service levels and revenue margins as per the contracted rates; writes offs, errors are to be kept to a minimum, preferably avoided completelyQuick response to operational escalation including CAPA handling Your Skills and Experiences At least 5 years of experience in road logisticsExcellent understanding of the trucking industry in the GCC countries, especially the UAEKnowledge of customs brokerage in the GCC countriesLeadership experienceStrong negotiation and problem solving skillsAbility to think and act quickly and independently Good Reasons to Join We offer an employee-friendly environment for you to develop and grow to become a skilled transportation logistics professional in a challenging and fast-developing company with a competitive salary and opportunities for further development within the Kuehne+Nagel Group.
