JOB PURPOSE:


Responsible for processing of customs clearing for air, sea, road import & export shipments through compliance with local and customs regulations.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Ensure that all air, land and ocean import & export shipments clearance and delivery are completed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the preparation of the Customs import and export documentation.
  • Ensure harmonized tariff research, binding rulings, protests, duty rates, and valuation on import shipments into the UAE are processed timely and efficiently in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review and ensure import performance and transit time analysis reports are distributed appropriately internally.
  • Ensure critical and accurate data is supplied to supply chain.
  • Process and manage the flow of essential import documentation including Letters of Credit, commercial invoices and associated certificates, Country of Origin requirements, and communication and notifications to clients and vendors.
  • Establish recordkeeping standards and oversee file maintenance in accordance with UAE Customs regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Performs related activities as instructed by the Commercial Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • BS Degree in Business Administration or related course
  • Minimum of 23 Years' UAE Experience working as Customs Broker
  • Extended (export/import) customs procedure knowledge is necessary.

COMPETENCIES:


  • Knowledge of International Export/Import Trade Documentation requirements Inco Terms, L/C Documentation
  • Well versed in Online Customs Documentation / Clearances through E-MIRSAL.
  • Knowledge of Free zone, GCC Countries, and crossstuffing Documentation.
  • Communication & Negotiation Skills
  • Abu Dhabi and Dubai Customs Clearance Process

Salary:
AED5, AED5,500.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
