- Follow regulations, laws, and safety requirements related to crop production
- Design and implement crop rotation systems to optimize soil fertility
- Plant and care for crops, including, soil preparation, sowing, and irrigation
- Identify and control pests, diseases and weeds
- Use, maintain, and repair agricultural machinery and equipment
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of crop production, harvest timing, and amount produced
- Utilize best agricultural practices to ensure high quality yields
- Operate and maintain tractors, combines, and other farm equipment
- Monitor weather conditions and take appropriate action to protect crops
- Assist with packaging and distribution of harvested products
- Monitor farm machinery to ensure it's functioning correctly
- Assist with the planning and implementing of any new projects
- Proven farm experience in crops and harvest
- Working knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of the latest agricultural technology
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work long hours in a manual labor position
