As Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible from conception to completion, for the systems engineering aspects of design & development of highly scalable and highly reliable services.

You will be working closely with Software Engineers to achieve successful rollout of their services.

  • Lead and empower multiple engineering teams and/or teams with cross
- functional reaching scope in an agile development environment designing,

  • Continuous performance, scalability, and quality improvements of existing
  • Coach engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and tech talk
sessions.

  • Organise and deliver tutorial and talks in advanced systems and
infrastructure topics

  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of systems, including costs
  • Understands business drivers and strategic needs for features and is able to
analyse, understand and satisfy constraints in the context of the business'
vertical

  • Makes suggestions for how the team can leverage new technologies and
architectures to improve the platform

  • Able to evaluate effort, risks and dependencies of tasks
  • Ensuring the security of company data
  • Maintain data standards, including adherence to regulations
The following experience is relevant to us

  • 8+ years of working experience in software development.
  • 3+ years of handson technical leadership and people management
experience.

  • Aligns with other teams on project scope, domain and boundaries
  • Analyzes and identifies possible project delays and reports to stakeholders
  • Mentorship ability to successfully transfer knowledge
  • Experience working within Agile practices and knowledge of Agile values &
principles

  • Ensures quality, performance, monitoring, alerting and security using best
practices

  • Demonstrated experience solving large complex infrastructure problems
  • Experience working within Agile practices and strong knowledge of Agile
values & principles

  • Knowledge and handson experience with Windows and Linux
  • Handson experience with enterprise databases
  • Knowledge of software, hardware, or system design, development,
troubleshooting and test practices.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and directly contribute to its success.
  • Ability to quickly prototype new concepts and ideas.
  • Strong Indepth knowledge and handson in cloud services as well as on
- prem data centres

  • Highly proficient in release automation and CI/CD topics
  • Extensive experience in setting up tools for load/stress testing and chaos
engineering

  • Good knowledge and handson in setting up and integrating different
monitoring tools like NewRelic, Prometheus, etc.
