Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team and take charge of our hot section.

As a Commis Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our kitchen, while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes for our hot section, ensuring adherence to established recipes and quality standards.

Handle and prepare all ingredients required for hot section dishes, including meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, and sauces.
Execute cooking techniques accurately to create appetizing and visually appealing dishes.
Ensure proper portion control and minimize waste to contribute to cost efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work station, following all sanitation and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of meals.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying the Head Chef of any shortages or replenishment needs.
Contribute creative ideas to menu development and improvements in hot section offerings.
Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques to continuously enhance your culinary skills.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of hot section cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality dishes.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
