Description

Assessing patients:

Home care nurses evaluate patients' physical and mental health conditions, including monitoring vital signs, assessing wounds, and reviewing medical histories.

They also consider the patients' home environment to ensure safety and make necessary adjustments.

Developing care plans:

Based on their assessments, home care nurses create individualized care plans that outline the specific treatments, medications, and interventions required.

They collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care.

Administering medications and treatments:
Home care nurses administer medications, including injections and IV therapy, as prescribed by the physician. They also provide wound care, manage catheters or ostomies, and assist with pain management and symptom control.

Monitoring and documenting:
Home care nurses regularly monitor patients' conditions, track their progress, and document any changes or concerns.

They communicate with the patient's primary healthcare provider to report updates and discuss any necessary adjustments to the care plan.


Educating patients and caregivers:

Home care nurses play a vital role in educating patients and their families or caregivers about managing conditions, administering medications, and recognizing warning signs.

They provide guidance on proper nutrition, exercise, and rehabilitation techniques.

Providing emotional support:
Home care nurses offer emotional support to patients and their families, particularly in challenging situations. They provide reassurance, offer counseling, and address any concerns or anxieties related to the patient's health condition.

Coordinating care:

Home care nurses collaborate with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers.

They ensure a multidisciplinary approach to support the patient's overall well-being.

Ensuring safety and infection control:
Home care nurses follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within the home environment. They educate patients and caregivers on hygiene practices and provide guidance on maintaining a safe living space.


Salary:
AED8, AED10,000.00 per month

Education:


  • Bachelor's (required)

Experience:


  • NURSING: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

  • VALID HAAD LICENSE (required)
  • NURSING LICENSE (required)
