    Description

    The PM Marketing FGDS is responsible for :

    Management of the regional marketing of the complete portfolio of assigned Segment.

    Support the segment marketing in the region for assigned portfolio and define its goals in accordance with Dräger Safety business strategy.

    Ensure regional input in the global Segment Strategy.

    Partly responsible for Net Sales and Global Gross Profit (GGP) of the Segment within the region - ensure sales focus on assigned portfolio

    Identify relevant market trends and new business opportunities for future growth.

    Responsibility for regional marketing activities

    o Guides the subsidiary marketing organizations for assigned Segment.

    o Management of assigned segment portfolio in distributor countries and emerging markets

    For the above tasks the PM Marketing FGDS will take guidance from the Head of BDM FGDS MENA who is ultimately responsible for drafting and implementing the Regional FGDS Sales Strategy.

    For an effective use of the PM's in the Marketing Safety Dept, the PM Marketing FGDS will also receive a limited cross training in the other portfolios (Portable Gas Detection and Emergency & Rescue Services). With this additional training he will be able to present the full Draeger Safety Portfolio on Exhibitions, Show truck events, SCP Draeger Days, etc.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    1.Support the regional marketing mix strategy for assigned Segment in accordance with global and regional strategy:

  • Support and contribute to the regional segment marketing strategy in line with Global strategy.
  • Collect and consolidate market & competitive Intelligence;
  • Identify relevant market trends and translate these into business opportunities;
  • Define regional market segmentation and segment specific analyses including competition, size, growth etc.;
  • Define regional positioning and competitive strategies;
  • Organize Price Positioning Workshops;
  • Perform regular country visits for professional understanding about local markets, trends, business environment and local competitors;
  • Manage entire life cycle process, e.g. drive local product launch and ensure fast ramp-up as well as end-of-life activities to keep customers.
  • 2. Actively support Sales & Service to drive regional Net Sales and Global Gross Profit (GGP) of the assigned Assigned Segment within the region:

  • Provide technical and Product Support to Sales & Service for tenders as well as key account development / management activities for the assigned portfolio
  • Define regional counteractions to mitigate business risks for the relevant assigned Segment
  • Identify and drive global marketing mix measures to ensure performance according to plan. Set priorities for action; implement and follow up actions
  • Consult with Product Management & Regulatory Affairs prior to local launch;
  • o Support product approvals / regulatory affairs

    o Support field corrective actions

    3. Provide input for the Global Segment Strategy:

  • Ensure aligned & consolidated regional input in the global assigned Segment Strategy in collaboration with the Global Product Manager
  • Actively support the Global Product Manager in defining new products and corresponding service solutions in close cooperation with the assigned Segment Manager-Service as well as phase out of products in close cooperation with Sales & Service and operations
  • 4. Operational marketing and Sales & Service support for assigned Assigned Segment (s):

  • Actively manage the regional Launch in close cooperation with the other Marketing functions, Sales & Service and Operations regionally as well as the regional & local.
  • Communication and Sales Marketing teams in the development and execution of the regional and local marketing plans.
  • Provide 2nd level application and technical product support to the local Sales and Service organizations and local application specialist
  • Design and execution of regular sales application trainings in the region in accordance with the Head of BDM FGDS MENA
  • Bachelor or University degree in engineering or business economics with min. 5 year experience in Fixed Gas Detection OR year experience in Product Management of which min 5-year in Fixed Gas Detection

    At least 5-year of work experience in a B2B company

    International experience in gas detection or a comparable field in

    Sales or Marketing

    Previous exposure to working with distributors and IOCs/EPCs

    Experienced in executing trainings and product presentations for

    end users and distributors

    Hands on application/site experience is a plus

    Extensive product and application knowledge of fixed gas detection devices

    Extensive market and competitor knowledge

    Strong analytical and strategic thinking, as well as problem-solving mindset

    Very good social skills

    Excellent presentation skills

    Strong in designing profitable business plans for related application

    Fluent spoken and written English skills

    Arabic language skills are a plus
