The Position:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain accurate financial records: Record and maintain financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll information.
  • Reconcile accounts: Conduct regular bank and credit card account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable: Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts, and maintain a systematic filing system for easy retrieval.
  • Prepare financial reports: Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis or as requested.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate financial data for budget preparation and forecasting activities.
  • Support monthend and yearend close processes: Assist in preparing necessary documentation and reports for financial audits and tax filings.
  • Maintain compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations, laws, and company policies.
  • Monitor financial transactions: Review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis: Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to aid in decisionmaking processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with utmost confidentiality and discretion.

You should have:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. An associate degree or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 23 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, preferably in a corporate or organisational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles: Sound understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including accrual accounting, financial statements, and general ledger entries.
  • Proficiency in accounting software: Experience working with popular accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero) and a strong aptitude for learning new tools and technologies.
  • Attention to detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial records.
  • Organisational skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Analytical thinking: Ability to analyse financial data, identify patterns and trends, and provide meaningful insights.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Ethical standards: Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards in handling financial information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.

AED3, AED5,000.00 per month
