Job description
- Manage and oversee VAT and Corporate Tax compliance for a portfolio of clients.
- Prepare, review, and file VAT returns, Corporate Tax returns, and related tax submissions.
- Ensure clients' compliance with UAE tax laws, FTA regulations, and deadlines.
- Handle VAT registration, deregistration, amendments, and FTA correspondence.
- Assist in tax advisory matters and provide practical tax solutions to clients.
- Support clients during FTA audits, assessments, and clarifications.
- Review accounting records to ensure tax accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal accounting teams to resolve tax-related issues.
- Keep up to date with changes in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
- Liaise directly with clients and manage multiple engagements independently.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong knowledge of Accounting, VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax.
- Thorough understanding of UAE tax regulations and FTA guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.) is a plus.
- Interest and exposure to transfer pricing / digital tax frameworks will be a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CPA, etc.) are an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of total experience, with at least 2 years in a UAE based consulting firm.
